EACH OF US, SHOULD STAND GUARD OVER THE SOLITUDE OF THE OTHER AND EMBRACE THE QUIET GAZING THAT FEEDS OUR HEARTS…
I write, I paint, I draw and I create… It comes from my memory and my skin, it comes from things outside of me and beyond me.
I think perhaps it is my way of finding depth where it is shallow and finding the shallow in the depth. It nourishes me – it feeds my soul.
Writing is how I put together and pull apart the fragments of life… examining them like miniature works of art, to see what they are made of.
This life can be a crazy road trip sometimes and it helps if we can learn to value the familiar, starting with ourselves. It is a process that takes gentleness. We need to approach it with vulnerability and honesty, just as we would a lover. Exposure is the true gift of intimacy even with our own wounds.
Yet it is not always easy accepting what turns up at our doors. I have discovered that there really is no escape from vulnerability and if we can accept and surrender to that, the struggle disappears.
Some of my journey is here – the result of a lot of reflection, introspection, late nights, chocolate, happy sunrises and sad sunsets.
I only know, that life has taught me, that two wounds must be prepared to touch the other in order to heal.
We are all works in progress – but we are here…
I feel good about that!
